How to Implement Google Analytics Tracking for FaceBook Engagement Ads

An extremely powerful feature of FaceBook Engagement Ads is to integrate it with Google Analytics so that you can easily track the ROI you are spending vs. the revenue you are generating with your website. This will make it so that you can view all your visitors on your site and see which ad they came from.

To do this, you will enter the following URL Tags into your ad using the following template:

utm_source=NAME-OF-POST&utm_medium=engagement-ad&utm_campaign=NAME-OF-AUDIENCE

Examples:

utm_source=germany-destroys-brazil&utm_medium=engagement-ad&utm_campaign=all-soccer-players
utm_source=40-best-indoor-plants&utm_medium=engagement-ad&utm_campaign=hgtv

To find where this goes, start creating your Engagment Ad, expand the "Advanced Options" on the left, and enter the string in URL Tags white box.  (See below):
